Parent Guide to Compass
Below is a link that shows the various features that are available to parents on Compass. We are not using all of the features yet, but will look to introduce as many of them over time as possible.
The key things for parents at the moment are:
Being able to access Compass, ie Download the App and use your username and password to access.
You can also access Compass via a browser using your username and password.
Ensure that your email and mobile number are correct, edit if needs be. In the future, if your email or mobile number changes, you need to update this in compass yourself.
Receiving news updates via app notifications and email notifications.
Monitoring your child’s attendance.
Explaining your child’s absences. This is very important. All absences, be it, full school days or half days – should be explained by parents.
Email notifications are now being issued when pupils have unexplained absences. Explain the absence in the morning before school, in order to avoid these email alerts.
Accessing school reports to see your child’s exam results.
Reports will not display for all pupils yet, as staff are still correcting and uploading them. We are aiming to have all results on Compass for the 4th December.
