Monday 27th January – School to open

School will be open as usual on Monday 27th January. Power is restored and thankfully our school building seems to have avoided any significant damage. Looking forward to getting all our pupils back on Monday. 3rd and 6th year mock exams will continue as planned – please see Mock exam timetables which have been shared with pupils already.

Be aware that there is a boil water notice in effect for the Oldcastle area – so students should bring their own bottled water to school, or purchase water from the school canteen. Saturday 25th January – Assessment tests postponed

Our assessments tests that were due to take place on Saturday 25th are postponed due to complications arising from power outages and travel disruption. We will decide on a date for these tests in due course. We will update the school community regarding Monday when we know more.

Friday 24th January – School closed

Our school will be closed on Friday 24th January due to the red weather warning – further detail below.

Work Experience

I am advising that TY or LCA pupils do not attend work experience placements on Friday.

Assessment Tests
These tests are due to take place on Saturday 25th January.
We hope that they will go ahead as planned but I will clarify this on Friday afternoon having assessed the local situation and guidance from the Department of Education.

Mock exams
Any mock exams that are affected will be pushed to the end of the mock exam schedule, ideally taking place on Tuesday 4th February.

Take care
